Inspired by Lady Gaga’s song ‘Hair’, this series of portraits interprets each woman’s hair as water. The different bodies of water represents one’s hair as an extension of one’s identity.

Layout of the four illustrations in a diamond formation in clockwise order.
A slightly low angle digital portrait of a confidant woman peering down. Her blue wavy hair flows over one shoulder, ending as a crashing wave.
Wave
A girl is facing right, looking over her shoulder at the viewer. Light shines from her direction as her pink and purple hair gracefully falls like a waterfall.
Waterfall
A mysterious woman has her head tilted slightly down and looks up at the viewer. An unknown light source is casted onto her face from below creating a water reflection pattern. Her blue hair is styled in finger waves and moves like rippled water. She wears earring shaped in water droplets.
Ripple
A woman smiles cheekily as light shines from the left, illuminating her short undercut. The hair curves to one side while the shaved area is dyed blonde, like a green wave crashing onto sandy shores. She wears a spire shell earring that pierces through her ear, green eyeliner and has a coloured moon and jellyfish tattoo up her neck.
